Megtec Vocsidizer Regenerative thermal VOC oxidation

The PDF product sheet may be obtained from the website of the manufacturer, direct link:

The purpose of the plant is to reduce the pollution from organic solvents and paint residues from plastic foil printing machines. From the product sheet: The oxydation reactions which purify the process exhaust occur entirely within the heat exchange media. There is no open flame and therefore none of the unwanted by-products of flame combustion. -- Little, if any, supplementary fuel is required to sustain oxidation one initial thermal operating conditions are achieved. 95-98% nominal heat exhange effiency. A natural gas injection system provides supplementary fuel if needed. Modular design.

The plant is located in a separate room, in which there is a large gate, which makes it possible to transport the unit away without being disassembled into small parts. Yet the system components are bulky and require special transportation. The gate is approx. 6 feet wide and approx. 4 meters high. The system is modular, making it easier to disassemble and transport. Yet disassembly and reassembly costs may be considerable.

There are two holes in the roof and one to an adjacent room. The holes in the roof are to be restored after dismantling. There is a hole in the wall to the adjoining room, which may also require restoration.

The control panel is located in an adjacent room.
